Alloy 17-4Ph Stainless Steel
Alloy 17-4Ph Stainless Steel is used for a variety of applications requiring corrosion resistance and high strength at room temperature.
Applications
Alloy 17-4Ph stainless steel is used most often in Conveyors for coal, rock, sand, and grains, slurry Lines, grain elevators, bicycle construction, heavy equipment, aircraft and roller beds.
Properties
Alloy 17-4PH stainless steel pipes are generally used for parts requiring corrosion resistance and high strength at room temperature, or at temperatures up to 315 °C (599 °F). The alloy can be age hardened at different temperatures to achieve different mechanical properties based on the requirement.
Great Plains Stainless stocks the 17-4PH stainless steel pipes age hardened at H1150 (620 °C). However depending on customer’s requirement, pipes can be supplied in solution annealed or any other age hardened temperature as mentioned in the below table.
